Learn To Swing Dance

Midtown Stomp offers swing dancing every Friday night at the Eastern Star Ballroom at 2719 K Street in Midtown Sacramento. Join our beginning swing dancing lesson from 8-9pm and dance from 9pm-midnight on Fridays. All of our lessons are social and rotate partners, the atmosphere is relaxed and fun, and you're sure to meet new people and have a great time! You don't need a partner! If you have a partner and do not wish to rotate, that's no problem. Friday admission is only $7 on DJ'd nights and $10-15 on live band nights and includes the lesson.

We have swing dancing lessons for everyone at every level. Our beginning East Coast Swing Class will get you out on the dance floor for the first time. You can drop in to this class each week and it is included in the price of admission.

Interested in learning more? We have series classes starting the first Friday of every month. The beginning class is the perfect way to get started, and the intermedaite topics expand your knowledge of the dance and add new moves and techniques to your dancing. We offer intermediate/advanced classes for more experienced dancers with new, exciting topics each month!

Please note that the Eastern Star Ballroom is a historic landmark and was built in 1928. This building is not handicap accessible. There are no ramps or wheel chair lifts and there may be difficulty reaching the upstairs ballroom if you are unable to climb three flights of stairs. There are landings and we will be happy to help you with the stairs if there is anything we can do, but we are unable to alter the building to better accomodate handicap accessibility.

Midtown Stomp is the place for Lindy Hop and swing dancing in Sacramento. We dance Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Charleston, Balboa and many other vintage dances every Friday night. Midtown Stomp is Sacramento's place to swing dance.
