400th Dance Party

Come celebrate Midtown Stomp’s 400th dance in a row with Phat Cat Swinger from Southern California. That’s right cats and kittens Midtown Stomp has been open every Friday night since the first Friday of 2005 and we’re in the mood to celebrate and thank all of you!
But wait, there's more! We'll double your fun and open up the downstairs for blues dancing. Dexter Santos from the Bay Area will be in town to team with Tawnie Gadd for two great blues classes. At 6:30pm they'll teach a class on "Jookin'" and at 7:30pm they'll teach "Ballroomin'". Both are awesome styles of blues that will both improve your dancing and help you to have a great time in on the dance floor. Take one or both classes and dance all night for just $20. At 8:30pm Kenny, Milan, and Mark Carpenter will take to the DJ booth to play all your favorite blues music till 1am.
Phat Cat Swinger will take the stage at 9pm with their swinging tunes to keep you dancing all night long. If you’re bringing someone new or need to brush up on your dancing our lesson at 7:30pm, and included in your $12 cover charge, is designed to get you out on the dance floor and having a blast in just one hour. Best of all, you don’t need a partner as the class is social and rotates partners. While most people rotate we don’t force it on anyone so feel free to bring a partner.
